I am excited for your visit to Disneyland Resort next year and your stay at
Pixar Place Hotel! I am a huge fan of staying onsite during my visits. I love being in the Disney bubble from start to finish!
I see you already know about the not-so-secret entrance into
Disney California Adventure through Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! It is one of my favorite ways to enter the park.
Once you cross the street onto the Grand Californian property, you'll come to a gate across the sidewalk. To access both the Downtown Disney District and the Disney California Adventure entrance, you'll need to scan your Disneyland Resort Hotel key card. If you're heading to Downtown Disney, walk through the property, enter the lobby, and turn left to access the long hallway leading to the security checkpoint and the
Downtown Disney District. If Disney California Adventure is first on your agenda, continue straight through the lobby, past
Storytellers Cafe and the pool area, and you'll arrive at the security checkpoint for theme park entry. It’s the fast track to adventure!
While you're strolling through the gorgeous Grand Californian lobby, take a moment to relax in one of the rocking chairs in front of the grand fireplace! It is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink. I spent some time there in August; even when it was warm outside, it made for a fabulous spot to relax for a few minutes!
Keely, dates have not been announced yet, but the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival typically kicks off in early March! You may be there just in time for the start of the festivities! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements, dates, food offerings, and entertainment that may be available during your visit.
