Hi there, Janice! Welcome to planDisney. I can tell you are excited to plan your Disneyland vacation and I don't blame you! I am a planner too! I have calendar reminders to notify me when to book dining reservations, enchanting extras, and more when I'm headed to a Disney Destination.

Disneyland Resort theme park reservations can be booked 180 days in advance. As of today, reservations are open into mid-September so you are nearly there! I would check back again around mid-April to snag those park reservations. Janice, it is unlikely that reservations will be full the day they become available for your trip in October. In fact, for standard theme park tickets, there is currently only one day in the next 180 days that is even partially booked - and that is tomorrow. So I think with a little faith, trust, and pixie dust (and maybe a calendar reminder!) you can book the dates you want without a problem!

Janice, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland Instagram for all the great information and exciting announcements on what's going on in the parks. Your visit coincides with Halloween Time and the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, so there should be lots of excitement going on during your stay!

I hope this information helps, Janice. Thanks for stopping by! Please let me know if you have any other questions. Disneyland has been my second home since I was a kid, and I love sharing all its magic!

    Happy planning,
    Melissa
