Hello, Ken. Welcome to
planDisney. Your trip is just about a month away. I’ll bet you’re getting pumped! Southern California is beautiful in April, and there is a lot to see and do at the
Disneyland Resort this time of year.
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing, and there will be a lot of great food and drink for you to sample while in the parks, not to mention Disney magic around every corner.
While the resort hotels are all considered “walkable,” I wouldn’t call the distance from
Pixar Place to the parks close, and if you have a walking disability, it is obviously a concern. Unfortunately, there isn’t a tram or shuttle to help get you to the parks. I’ll also point out that the distance from Pixar Place to the
Monorail is pretty far, even if it were open during your visit.
Ken, let’s think about the whole picture. We’re just talking about the distance to the park entrance without considering the amount of walking you’ll be doing to get around to the various attractions. Have you considered renting an
electric conveyance vehicle (ECV)? Using one of these for longer stretches of your trip may really save your steps, so you can enjoy yourself to the fullest throughout the day. The best bet would be to schedule the delivery of an ECV to Pixar Place by the
Disney Featured Provider, which will rent you an ECV for the length of your stay. This will allow you to utilize the ECV from your hotel to the entrance, throughout the park, and back to your hotel at the end of the day. You could rent an ECV at the entrance to Disneyland, but only for the time you’re at the parks - it will not help you get to and from your hotel.
I hope this option gives you peace of mind regarding how you’ll feel during the visit. I hope you enjoy yourself to the fullest and that you create many magical memories. If you have any more questions, feel free to bring them to us at
planDisney. Have a magical day!
Corey
