We will be staying overnight at Saratoga on July 4 before sailing on the Disney Dream. We do not have park tickets. Is there ANY place that we can see fireworks on the 4th without park admission?

    Hi Tamela!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  How exciting that you will be embarking on your Disney Cruise Line vacation in just a few days! I hope you are getting your Mickey Ears and sunscreen packed for a magical sailing.

I do have a few ideas for you to view the fireworks on Independence Day, though I must warn you to plan for large crowds. If you do choose any of these places I would recommend you stake out a spot well in advance. I would also double check with Cast Members at the front desk at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in case they are aware of any restrictions that might be in place specifically for the Independence Day show that I might not be aware of.

The beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most popular locations to view the fireworks over Magic Kingdom. While the music is not piped onto the beach, you should still have an amazing view. Due to it’s popularity though this area is sure offer plenty of friends as well! You may also consider trying to time your viewing to be on the Ferry Dock, or even on the Ferry from the Ticket and Transportation Center during the show. Also, the boat dock at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa might also offer a glimpse of the show.

If you are Disney Vacation Club Members, you can inquire about visiting the Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. Usually this lounge is available to any Disney Vacation Club Member who is staying on property, though it may be restricted for Independence Day. You would need to show your Membership Card and present your Magic Band to show that you are staying on property for the night.

I wish you a star spangled Independence Day, as well as a magical sailing on the Disney Dream!
