    I am staying outside the World (Orange Lake Resort) and have breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's Sat March 3rd. What is the best way to get there and how long should I allow? We have rented a car. Thanks :)

    Hi, Shannon!

    Breakfast with Mickey Mouse is a great way to start your magical day in Walt Disney World!  Make sure to bring your camera and autograph book for when you meet Mickey and his pals.

    Chef Mickey's is located in the Contemporary Resort on the 4th floor.  From your resort, you will want to head toward the Magic Kingdom starting off on US -192 East (follow signs to the WDW/Magic Kingdom).  As you approach the toll booths, stay to the right, as once you go through the booths, you will want to stay to the right following signs to the Contemporary.   When you arrive at the resort, you will check-in at the Security Gate where you will be directed to the parking area.

    After your breakfast, you will need to move your car to the main parking lot, so if you plan to visit the Magic Kingdom after breakfast, you might find it easier to park in the main Magic Kingdom lot upon arrival.  Take the parking lot tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center and zip over to the Contemporary on the Resort Monorail.  After breakfast, you can take the quick 15 minute walk over to the Magic Kingdom.

    If you plan to leave property or visit a different theme park (not Magic Kingdom) then you are better off parking right at the Contemporary. 

    I would allow 45 minutes of driving/parking time so you are not rushed or in case of traffic.  You don't want to keep Mickey waiting!  Have a great time!
