Hey Howdy Hey Tammy and welcome to planDisney!
I bet you are getting super excited about your upcoming trip to Central Florida with a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort really soon. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question on Resort Transportation. I will gladly give you more information on the specifics.
Resort Transportation is available to Guests throughout the Walt Disney World Resort in the form of buses, boats,
Walt Disney World Monorail and
Disney Skyliner. If you are on Walt Disney World property and need to get around, say from Magic Kingdom and then over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a meal or shopping, you are more than welcome to use the various forms of transportation to get to and from. Most Resort Transportation will take Guests from resorts to and from theme parks or Disney Springs. They usually accommodate resort Guests best but if you are doing a little hopping to experience the various stops, you are more than welcome to use them as well.
If you do find yourself onsite in Walt Disney World and need a more direct path from say a theme park to Disney Springs or from one resort to another, these direct transportation options will be limited. You can also use
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft for this specific situation. This rideshare option is a more direct path you can request through the Lyft app and ride throughout the property in style. You will be able to go to most places throughout the resort and the Disney Springs area. These Minnie Vans have more access compared to other rideshares to get you closer and more directly to where you need to go. This is a separate fee however and based on mileage. This can be a huge benefit if you need to get to a specific place quickly during your stay.
I hope this helps give you an idea of what to expect with transportation on your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop back, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
