Hi Laura, welcome to planDisney. In just a matter of weeks, you'll be welcomed into the magic of Walt Disney World! I'm so excited for you.
As your adventure begins in Northern Ireland, I'm assuming you've been able to purchase the fantastic
Magic Ticket (available only to U.K. residents) for your son. If purchased directly from the Walt Disney World Travel Company, please know that you will need to wait 48 hours after booking to link your ticket to My Disney Experience. The Will Call number is in the PDF attachment of the second email confirmation received after booking. Within this Will Call PDF attachment, on the top right-hand side, there will be a barcode with a number printed below; it's this number (along with the Lead Passenger Surname) to use when linking tickets in
My Disney Experience. If you have already waited at least two days since you received this confirmation email and are still having issues making that link in My Disney Experience, please speak with one of the super-helpful
Disney experts. Once you're all linked, Laura, please remember that each party member will need a valid
Park Pass reservation in addition to their ticket.
On our Disney adventures with kids, we found a break away from the Parks during the day beneficial - either by taking a nap and a swim at our Disney Resorts Collection hotel or by eating at one of the nearby restaurants in the Disney Resort hotels. I recommend the
Grand Floridian Cafe, which you can access by monorail - our kids find this a ride in itself! If you would like to stay all day in the Parks, you can usually find some quiet spots for a moment of calm, at
Tom Sawyer Island, for example. And if your little man still has some growing to do before hitting those thrill rides, Rider Switch means you don't have to miss out.
Laura, I hope this information helps and that your family makes many magical memories on your Walt Disney World trip. I'm here if you have any further questions. Louise
