We are staying onsite but want to drive to Magic Kingdom. What's the earliest time we can get to the TTC for early entry-rope drop at MK for a 7:30 opening?

Hey Howdy Hey Rhonda and welcome to planDisney!

Your vacation is right around the corner and I'm sure you are super excited for all of the Magic in store for your upcoming trip. Taking advantage of the benefits of staying onsite at a Disney Resort hotel with Early Theme Park Entry is huge when you have a lot on your "to-do list" for attractions. Let's go over parking options so you can be totally prepared for your trip.

Typically, parking lots open 45-60 minutes before the theme parks open. So, if you are trying to get to Magic Kingdom for rope drop at 7:30, you should be able to get into the parking lot around 6:30-6:45. Resort transportation also begins operations about 45 minutes before the parks open, so you should have either the ferry or the Walt Disney World Monorail to get you from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom.

With all the excitement of getting to the park and having a full day's experience of the Magic of the parks, sometimes we may forget where we parked our cars. A really cool feature that will help is available on your My Disney Experience app with the Car Locator function. When you park, pull up your app and tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right of your screen. Look for the Car Locator function and pull it up. If you have enabled your location on your phone, you can automatically save it to your app or manually enter it. This can save a lot of headaches when you are leaving the park many hours later!

I hope you have a Magical time on your upcoming trip. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
