Staying onsite at Disney World in Sept. 2020 at the Caribbean Beach Resort. My parents live in Orlando and plan to join us at the park one day. If our tickets are linked, will I be able to make FastPass+ reservations for all of us 60 days out?

Hi there Will! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your question; we're always happy to talk Disney vacation planning!

I'm so excited to hEAR you'll be joining us for a stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Now that the Disney Skyliner magically transports guests from here to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, a vacation at this resort is more convenient than ever. Be sure to check out Disney's Riviera Resort during your stay; it's just a short walk or flight over to the shops and restaurants at Disney's newest resort.

I think it's great that your parents will be able to join you in the theme parks for a day. My parents get so much joy experiencing Walt Disney World with their grandchildren, so we like to bring them along whenever we can. My husband and I also appreciate a few extra sets of hands to help with our children. Win-win!

The 60-day advance FastPass+ selection is a benefit to guests of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, so unless your parents will be registered guests of an onsite resort hotel, you will have to wait until 30 days before the day of their visit to make FastPass+ reservations for them. Hakuna Matata, Will! There will still be plenty of wonderful experiences to choose from at 30 days out. I have successfully made FastPass+ selections just a day or two before a visit for some of my favorite attractions.

Remember that your FastPass+ times do not need to match exactly to be able to experience attractions together. For example, if one group has a reservation to ride Avatar Flight of Passage (one of my favorite Walt Disney World attractions) between 10:00 and 11:00, and another has a return window of 10:30-11:30, there is a thirty minute window between 10:30 and 11 during which everyone can fly together. I often find that splitting my family into smaller groups with overlapping return times is a good strategy to score some of the most popular FastPass+ reservations.

I hope that helps with your upcoming vacation plans. Keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding exciting upcoming attractions to the Disney theme parks. My family is most excited about the debut of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and the nighttime spectacular, Harmonious in our favorite theme park, EPCOT.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
