    We're staying on-site at AOA so I know with a valid CC on file we can use the magic bands to make purchases throughout the parks. But can you link Disney gift cards to your magic band? Also, can we pay with our magic bands at character dining's?

    Hello from one fellow Texan to another!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    At this time, you are not able to link Disney Gift Cards to your Walt Disney World MagicBands.  However, I recommend leaving a credit card on file with your Disney Resort so that you are able to charge to your room with your MagicBands.  On the day you check-out, simply head on down to the front desk and use your Disney Gift Cards to pay off charges.  It is a very simple process.

    You will be happy to know that, as long as you have left a credit card on file, you may use your MagicBand to charge back to your room for character dining.  However, please keep in mind that there is a limit to charging privileges.  Currently, there is a limit of $500 for Walt Disney World Value Resorts.  Should you reach your limit, you may head on down and pay for your charges in order to continue using your MagicBand for charging privileges. The reason for this is due to the fact that all charges will not be paid until your departure date.

    Diane's Tip of the Day:  If you have not already done so, make sure to set-up your dining reservations.  This way you never have to worry about being turned away because of no availability.  Character dining experiences are very popular, so make sure to set your reservations today.
