we are staying at the one of the resorts this week for 3 days and have bought base tickets to visit one park a day.oneofour family with us can not attend for the first day, but will arrive the next day for the remainder of the trip, can they still go?

Hey, there! Hi, there! Welcome to planDisney, Magali. I am so glad you stopped by with this question as you are racing to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You can count the number of days before your Walt Disney World Resort visit on one hand. Hot dog! Hot dog! Hot diggity dog!

The short answer to your question is that if your family member is included in your resort reservation and has a ticket, they are welcome to join you later. You do not all have to be present at check-in to enjoy the vacation.

There are a few ticket types, so let's discuss the details in case they affect your plans.

If you purchased base 1 Park Per Day tickets, you can visit any of the four theme parks for the number of days of your ticket. You will have a set number of days the ticket is valid. For instance, a three-day ticket is good for three days of admission across five days.

If you purchased the Special 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket, you will have admission to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You can visit each of these theme parks, one park per day, on three separate days. You have five days from your selected start date to use your ticket. Your family member joining you after the first day will enjoy the same benefits as you: one of the three parks per day and up to five days to visit all three. The only consideration in them joining you later I can think of is that you cannot visit the same theme park twice. So, if you want to enjoy Hollywood Studios (or another theme park) together, you will want to wait until everyone can go.

Magali, I hope this helps. If I did not understand your question or if you have a follow-up, please reach out to me so, together, we can get you the information you need.

    See 'Ya Real Soon!
