If staying one or 2 nights at one resort in Disney World (ex. All-Star Movies) before staying 5 nights in another (ex. Polynesian) is it possible to get one dining plan that covers both as opposed to having to get 2 separate plans?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Is your vacation coming up soon? Mine is next year, but already counting down the days!

We love the Dining Plans. So convenient to prepay for your meals! The only dilemma this presents us every time is which restaurants to visit. So many options! Each plan gives you a set of meal entitlements per night of stay to each member of your family, and they can be used from the moment you Check-In and until midnight of your Check-Out day.

The Dining Plans are options that can only be added to a vacation package. And this can cause issues with a split-stay, that is when you stay at more than one Disney Resort Hotel, since each stay is a different reservation. There is on option however. A ticketless vacation package can be booked by your travel agent, or by calling (407) 939-1936 and speaking to a vacation planning specialist. In this case, you may want to book a regular vacation package with dining, which includes Theme Park Tickets for your entire stay at both Resort Hotels, and make your reservation a ticketless package. One thing to keep in mind is that the meal entitlements for your first reservation will expire the moment you Check-In on your second reservation, so you may want to use all of them the night before, or not do Online Check-In.

One last tip: remember you can make advanced dining reservations starting 180 days of your Check-In but for your entire stay. Note that in the case of a split stay, you would have to wait until 180 days of your second reservation’s Check-In for those latter days. Happy planning!
