Hi Jaime, and welcome to planDisney!
You've made a fantastic choice by staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! I was fortunate enough to tour this resort and the Family Suites recently and was amazed by immersive themes that bring beloved Disney and Pixar films to life. The Family Suites are spacious and perfect for larger groups, and the Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool in all of
Walt Disney World Resort, making it a great place to relax after a day in the parks. If I had to choose, I would say The Lion King rooms were my favorite, but Hakuna Matata, you can’t go wrong with any perfectly themed rooms!
Another benefit of staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the convenient access to the
Disney Skyliner. This gondola system provides a scenic and efficient way to travel to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, soaring above the treetops and giving you a unique perspective of the resort. Speaking of EPCOT, arriving via the International Gateway entrance is an experience in itself. You'll enter the park through the less-crowded entrance located near the World Showcase. It’s a great way to start your day at EPCOT, especially if you're eager to explore the countries in World Showcase right after they open.
To answer your question, you can park at Disney's Art of Animation Resort on the morning of your check-in. Simply show the Cast Member at the entrance to the resort your reservation on the
My Disney Experience app and you’re welcome to leave your vehicle at the resort and hop on the Skyliner to head to EPCOT while you wait for your room to be ready. Once you've completed online check-in, you'll receive a notification when your room is available, allowing you to maximize your time in the parks without any worries.
Let me know if you have any additional questions or would like any EPCOT recommendations. When exploring the world at EPCOT, be sure to swing by
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion for the School Bread and Viking Coffee, the perfect mid-morning snack. I’d be remiss not to mention
Les Vins des Chefs de France, too. There isn’t a Disney vacation where I haven’t indulged in the refreshing Citron slush!
See you real soon,
Brent
