Hi Katherine,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love talking about dining at Walt Disney World, so I'm thrilled to answer your question.
Advanced dining reservations are available 180 days in advance. You are correct that guests at Walt Disney World resorts can make reservations for their entire length of stay at that 180-day mark. Other guests -- those staying offsite or locals like my family coming for a meal -- can make reservations day-by-day from 180 days on.
You can make those reservations three ways: on the
Walt Disney World website, by phone at (407) WDW-DINE (407-929-3463) or using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. I usually find the app is the most convenient, and it makes it easy to filter restaurants by location, available time, cuisine type, price, disability accessibility, guest rating and dining plans accepted. You can find all the filters by tapping the funnel icon after you search by date and time.
While we're on the subject of dining: Did you know that a number of Walt Disney World counter service restaurants now offer
mobile ordering? You simply place your order and pay with the My Disney Experience app, tap the app when you arrive at the restaurant to let the kitchen know to prepare your food and then pick it up at a special window, all without waiting in line.
Thanks for your question, Katherine. Please let us know if you would like specific restaurant recommendations or have other questions about planning your vacation. We love to help.
Enjoy!
Wilma
