If you are staying at one of the family friendly resort hotels, are you allowed to bring in food?

Hello Martha and welcome to planDisney.

There's no better place to visit and make memories with your family than Walt Disney World Resort, which is one of the many reasons my family and I keep Returning to the Magic, yEar after yEar!  And with so many options of family-friendly Resorts to choose from, added to the many Benefits of Staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel - it's no wonder why we love the most magical place on earth so very much.

My family is all about the food!  In fact, I think it's fair to say that one of the many highlights of our vacations is enjoying all the delicious menu items on offer at Walt Disney World Resort.  However, we also like to have snacks on hand both in our Resort hotel room and whilst exploring the Theme Parks, after all, you never know when a rumbly in your tumbly will strike!

I'm happy to share that Guests are more than welcome to bring food from home into their Resort room or even have grocery items delivered.  For example, I've previously used a local Orlando grocery delivery company and have arranged to have my order delivered to Bell Services at my Resort hotel.  The lovely Cast Members at Bell Services will store deliveries until they are collected or, for a small handling fee, you can have items delivered directly to your room.  Additionally, each individual Resort benefits from a merchandise store that carries a selection of everyday grocery items such as bread, cereal, milk, and so on - either way, you won't be left stranded without a smackerel of food for your family to enjoy!

As I mentioned previously, Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the Theme Parks as long as these picnic items are not held within glass containers, and don't require either re-heating or refrigerating.  Plus, for everyone's safety and comfort, we all need to adhere to the current Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules

Martha, I feel quite sure that your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is all set to be practically perfect in every way!

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
