we are staying in one of the cabins at wdw is there at pool close by we can take the girls to swim,,also because we are staying in the cabins how far is the theme parks and is there a bus we can ride to get there,,can we also swim in other resort pools

    Hi Kim!

The cabins at Fort Wilderness are very nice.  There are a couple of pools at Fort Wilderness; the largest is at the Meadow Recreation Area, which is basically in the middle of Fort Wilderness..

Fort Wilderness is huge!  There is an internal bus system to take you to the Settlement, the built up area near the water, where you can get on a boat going to the Magic Kingdom.  Or you can take the internal bus to the Outpost Depot, the front of Fort Wilderness (the entrance to the Fort from a main road), where you can catch a bus to the other theme parks.

In my opinion, the cabins are perfect for families, but I only personally enjoy staying there when I have a car.  Having a car makes it very easy to get from your cabin to the various theme parks.  Another option that at least makes getting around Fort Wilderness easy is renting a golf cart; they are also a lot of fun!

Enjoy planning your magical vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
