We are staying in a one bedroom and moving to another one bedroom. Does Disney have a box or a container to move our fridge stuff?

Hey there, hi there, Mary! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question.

As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I absolutely love the space and convenience of a One-Bedroom Villa. Nothing beats having breakfast and coffee in the kitchen before a magic-filled day in the theme parks or sipping wine and playing board games in the living room while doing a load of laundry right in the room before bedtime. As DVC Members, my family and I do a "split stay," where we stay at two different incredible DVC Resorts, almost every time we visit Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm more than happy to help and answer your question today.

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort does not provide any boxes or containers for transferring your perishable items from one Resort to another. In fact, while Bell Services will transfer your luggage between Resorts, due to the time that it may take to transfer your items and the risk of perishable items not staying cold, Bell Services no longer transfers perishable items for Guests. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" I have a few suggestions for you to get your refrigerated items from one kitchen to the next!

I recommend packing a soft, collapsible insulated cooler in your luggage to help you transport your refrigerated items from one Resort to another. I found an adorable Mary Poppins cooler tote on the shopDisney website (they have a ton of cute options), and that is how we transfer our cold items from Resort to Resort. While Bell Services cannot transport perishable items, they can store them for you in refrigerated storage if you take care of the transfer yourself.

So, on the day of your Resort move, pack up your luggage and your refrigerated items in your cooler tote bag and call Bell Services to request a transfer of your luggage to your next Resort. Then, take your cooler tote and hop on the easiest mode of Disney transportation to a theme park for transfer to your new Resort, drop off your cooler to the new Resort's Bell Services (let them know that the items should be refrigerated), and feel free to go about your day! In my experience, Bell Services has been willing to transfer our cooler tote with our luggage, but they reiterated that the cooler would not be refrigerated during or after transport and that they were not responsible for any of our items spoiling. Just keep that in mind when planning your split stay transfer, and enjoy your amazing Resort experiences!

While this may not be the answer you were hoping for, Mary, I hope it was at least helpful! I hope you have the most magical and memorable time on your upcoming vacation. Please stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way.

You've got a friend in planDisney,
