I am staying at Old Key West and was wondering if there are USB ports in the rooms, we are staying in a 2 room villa.

Welcome to planDisney, Lucinda! Thanks so much for sharing your question with us!

It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is just a few weeks away. How exciting! You seem like an expert vacation planner (you are using planDisney, after all) and know how important it is to keep your devices charged while visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth. I’d say that having the correct cords and chargers is right up there with sunscreen and a water bottle (hydrate, feel great!) on the “must pack” list.

I’m happy to report that all Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms feature USB charger ports. I recall that on my recent trips—which included stays at Coronado Springs Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and All-Star Movies Resort—there were USB ports above the nightstands and near the dressers, along with three-pronged electrical outlets throughout the room. Room layout varies from resort to resort, and so the location and number of ports can vary as well. You’ll still want to pack all your charger blocks and cords to ensure you can charge all your devices and have them at the ready.

You’ve picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World. Guests at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can enjoy complimentary admission to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach on their check-in day, which is a great way to kick off your trip. Also, just before you arrive, two new shows—Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure—will be opening at Hollywood Studios. How amazing is that? Spoiler: very amazing.

I hope this information was helpful, Lucinda, and that you have the most magical time on your upcoming trip. Pop right back if you have any other vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
