Hi Allison!
It's so nice to see you here at planDisney, thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be checking in to
Disney's Old Key West Resort in just a few weeks –– I think you're going to love it! In fact, as a
Disney Vacation Club Member, Disney's Old Key West happens to be one of my Home Resorts, so it's definitely dear to my heart. I love the Resort's laid-back, relaxed vibe and how secluded and peaceful it always feels. After all the hustle and bustle of Walt Disney World theme parks, it's the perfect place to rest and recharge. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do during your upcoming holiday!
One of my favorite things about staying at a
Deluxe Villa Resort, like Disney's Old Key West, is that the
1, 2, and 3-Bedroom Villas each come with a fully-equipped kitchen to enjoy during your visit –– talk about a home-away-from-home, right?! But since a kitchen isn't much use unless it's stocked with groceries, I'm glad to hear you're planning to use a grocery delivery service during your stay. This is something my family does for each visit and it's such a convenient, hassle-free way to get everything we need. In my experience, the easiest thing to do is have your groceries delivered to the Resort's main entrance, especially when you're staying at a Resort as large as Old Key West. That way, you won't have to worry about any miscommunication between you and the delivery driver.
Another thing to consider is that while you're welcome to meet the delivery yourself, Bell Services will also be happy to collect and store your order –– including refrigerated items –– until you're ready to pick it up. Just be sure that your order is addressed to the "Guest (name on the Reservation)" at the Resort's main entrance to avoid any confusion. Typically, I like to schedule a delivery on the day we check in, sometimes even before we arrive at the Resort. Once our room is ready, all we have to do is stop by Bell Services or have it delivered directly to the room for a small fee. This makes getting groceries as easy as possible –– just the way I like things on vacation! Just keep in mind that Bell Services won't be able to accept delivery of any age-restricted items, like alcohol. If your order contains these items, you'll need to be there to show your valid photo ID at the time the items are delivered.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Allison. If you think of more questions as your Walt Disney World holiday approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Amy
