Hiya, Deborah! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m always happy to help folks navigate Walt Disney World. At approximately 43 square miles (that’s about the size of San Francisco) and with so many different transportation options, even experienced guests need help finding their way from time to time.
First, make sure you’ve downloaded the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device. Not only does it help you manage tickets and make reservations, but it will also provide step-by-step directions to most locations around the resort. It will even provide estimated travel times for different routes if multiple Disney transportation options are available.
It’s important to remember that travel times and suggested routes will vary based on when you’re traveling from Old Key West to Beach Club Resort, home of
Cape May Cafe. At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience app is currently suggesting that you take a Disney bus to Hollywood Studios and then take the walking path towards Crescent Lake, BoardWalk Inn, and Beach Club Resort (estimated 64 minutes).
You can also take the water taxi from Hollywood Studios or
Skyliner, which will first transport you to the Caribbean Resort transfer station, then to the Riviera Resort, and finally drop you off at EPCOT, next to the Beach Club Resort.
All of these options are complementary, but I do want to mention that your fastest route is likely to be booking a Minnie Van through Lyft. There are accessible Minnie Vans that can accommodate mobility devices, and you can find more information about the service
here.
I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Deborah. I’m sure you’re going to have the most amazing visit to Walt Disney World, and no doubt your meal at Cape May Cafe will be delicious. Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
