We will be staying at Old Key West resort for 3 weeks in Sept. We are a family with 2 adults and 6 children. Childrens ages 4.6.7.10.11.16 at the time of vacation. Would you recommend the Dining Plan? Are there any discounts with Annual Pass? Disney Visa?

    Hi Lisa!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  There are some discounts available via the Walt Disney World Annual Pass and the Disney Visa card.  For example, the Disney Visa does provide discounts on some of the special tours at Walt Disney World and an Annual Pass does provide some discounts for tours, boat rental, lodging (most of the year) and dining.

The Disney Dining Plan is not black and white.  Some guests save a lot of money by being on a plan, while others save only a little and some actually spend more.  It really depends on how your family likes to dine and what each member might order.  The best is to do the math and compare the costs.  To do that, I suggest going to the independent website AllEars.Net.  At All Ears you can find the menu, including prices, for all of the Table Service and Quick Service restaurants at Walt Disney World.

Whatever you decide to do, be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) for any Table Service restaurants you want to dine at.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

Good luck with your decision, and write back if you have any more questions!
