Hiya, Tiffany!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a visit to Disney's Old Key West Resort later this summer. This happens to be my
Disney Vacation Club Home Resort and I'm happy to report that its laid-back vibe and beautiful, sprawling grounds (seriously, the Resort is HUGE) make it the perfect place to kick back and relax after an exciting park day. So, get ready to experience a perfect hideaway amid all the hustle and bustle of Walt Disney World Resort –– I think you're going to love it!
While each area at
Disney's Old Key West Resort has something amazing to offer (the Old Turtle Pond Road area is actually my favorite), some sections are definitely a longer walk to the Hospitality House. If you truly prefer to be by the main building, I recommend giving
Guest Services a call or using the chat feature on the
Walt Disney World website to have a Cast Member add this request to your reservation. You could also make this request at the Front Desk once you arrive at the Resort. Otherwise, the closest area to the Hospitality House is Miller's Road. Depending on which end of Miller's Road your building is located, it typically takes my family between 5-10 minutes to walk to the front of the Resort. The Miller's Road bus stop is also the last stop before the Hospitality House, which means you could
jump on a bus and take a quick ride up to the main building, as well.
I really appreciate you visiting planDisney, Tiffany. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you think of something else, please feel free to stop by again –– we're always here to help. No matter which area you choose, though, I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your upcoming visit to Disney's Old Key West Resort!
Happy Planning,
Amy
