I will be staying at Old Key West Jan.21-29th. Could you please let me know if they would supply a electrical fan, I really need it at night to sleep.

Hi, Ann! We're sticklers for white noise when we sleep too. I started it all when I began using a fan as a resident assistant in college, but that's another story for another day.

You'll likely have a ceiling fan at Old Key West, however, you'll probably strike out on a portable/electric fan. When we travel, we bring our own sound machine. In the event we go a different route, we leverage our 21st century technology. Here's how:

Nearly every room at Walt Disney World has an iPod docking station. If you have an iPod or smartphone, you can easily emulate the white noise through an app. I use (and love) Binaural Beats on my iPod. You can select from a boatload of background noises or even make your own. If my iPod isn't handy and I'm left to the devices of a Droid, I find the Dream app works really well. Worse case scenario is that you switch the clock/radio docking station over to radio mode and find some static that works for you.

    Sweet dreams!
