We will be staying at OKW with a van. If we use a wheelchair to go from parking lot to inside park, is there a place to store a wheelchair inside the park since we want to rent a scooter from the park ?

    Hi Michael!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm glad I can help answer your question about wheelchairs and Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) within Walt Disney World. You've chosen one of my favorite Disney Villa Resorts to spend your vacation. Disney's Old Key West Resort brings the Florida Keys ambiance to Central Florida in the form of sprawling grounds, beautifully themed pools and a relaxed feel.  OKW boasts some of the larger Deluxe Studio resort rooms, complete with small kitchenette so guests can have quick meals before a day at the parks or lounging at the pool.

Michael, you can certainly utilize your own wheelchair both within the parks and at the resorts.  However, the theme parks are unable to store your personal wheelchair in order for you to rent an ECV.  One option that you may consider is renting an ECV from Disney's Feature Provider, Scooterbug. They offer length of stay rentals of ECVs  at reasonable pricing, and will delivery it to the resort of choice.  They will work with Cast Members to ensure that delivery, and return, of the equipment is seamless.  You can find more information on Scooterbug on the ECV Rentals page of the Walt Disney World website.  Another option may be to utilize the courtesy wheelchairs that are available within the parking lot. Should you need one, you can let the parking attendant know, and they will request one be brought to you. However, keep in mind that should you need one to access the parking lot on your return to your hotel, you may need to request assistance from the Wheelchair and Scooter Rentals area within each park and Disney Springs.  Should you need further assistance, you can contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
