We are staying at OKW in Sept and we can't wait! When I look at pictures of the rooms online, some living rooms have carpet and some look like they have hardwood. Do you know if there is a difference between the rooms? Can we request a room with hardwood!

Hi Theresa!
You are not seeing things. Old Key West Resort rooms still have a mix of both carpeted and non-carpeted accomodations. What you see is not actually hardwood flooring, but rather, wood laminate. It is now in rooms that have been refurbished over the past couple of years. It is also possible that you saw old photos and the whole resort may have laminate by now, I am not certain. Guest Services can tell you when you arrive or if you ake reservations over the phone.
The best thing to do is to make your request when making your resort reservation. Although specific room requests cannot be guaranteed, making the request both online/on the phone and at the time of check-in doesn't hurt.
