Staying at OKW 12/6-12/13 with kids ages 3 & 1. We plan to go to parks early, then back to room in afternoon for naps. If we are too tired to return to park, is it ok to visit other resorts just to walk around and catch a bite to eat?

    Hi Sharon,

I just returned from a wonderful weekend in WDW! You can absolutely stop at a resort to visit instead of returning to a park. In fact, one of my favorite activities at Disney World is to tour the wonderful resorts.

At Animal Kingdom Lodge, see the animals from the viewing area near Arusha Rock.

Stop by the Grand Floridian to admire the Victorian lobby.

At the Wilderness Lodge, the lobby will take your breath away. It's designed after early National park lodges.

Take a boat ride from Downtown Disney, stopping at Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside.

At Fort Wilderness, visit the horse stable and/or take a pony ride!

    Enjoy a wonderful vacation!
