    Staying at OKW in a few weeks :) We are considering renting an ECV for my Dad from a local company in Orlando. We've requested a ground floor room, if we aren't able to get it, where would we be able to park the ECV at night? Thank you

    Hi Kathy,

    You have definitely chosen a wonderful Resort for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Disney's Old Key West Resort has a laid-back, tropical feel, with beautiful landscaping and pretty pastel buildings. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day touring the Theme Parks.

    Kathy if you are contemplating renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) from a third party vendor for your father, I highly recommend you make arrangements with one of the Disney Recommended ECV Rental Provider. This will ensure the ECV can be delivered to Bell Services at Disney's Old Key West Resort and will be ready and waiting for you upon arrival at the Resort. Then, at the end of you stay, you can simply leave the ECV with Bell Services to await pick up by the rental company.

    If you have not already done so, I highly recommend you contact Disney to note on your reservation that someone in your party will be travelling with an ECV, and requires a ground level room, or alternatively, a room in one of the buildings with elevators. That way you will be able to take the ECV into your unit each evening to recharge batteries for the next day. Fortunately, the rooms at Disney's Old Key West are some of the most spacious at Walt Disney World, particularly if you happen to be staying in any of the 1-3 Bedroom Villas. Alternatively, you may also wish to leave the ECV outside your Villa.
