We are staying at OKW before cruising on the Fantasy. How do I make bus arrangements to get to Port Canaveral? Also how can we find out when the pirate night and Halloween party are scheduled?

    Ahoy Melissa!

I’m loving the fact that you will be having a land and sea vacation in less than a month! Isn’t it awesome to have travel dates to look forward to again? And you’ve planned your trip in the order that I prefer: Walt Disney World first and the Disney cruise after. After the hustle and bustle of a Walt Disney World vacation and all that walking in the theme parks, it will be so nice to just get on the Disney Fantasy and totally relax.

An added way to sprinkle pixie dust on your vacation is to take Disney Cruise Line ground transportation from Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral. Under the "My Reservations" tab on the Disney Cruise Line website, you can select ground transportation and put which Walt Disney World resort you will be staying at before you set sail, and Disney Cruise Line will handle the rest!

The night before you set sail, you will receive paperwork in your resort room that includes instructions on where and when to meet your motor coach the next day. Once ground transportation delivers you to Port Canaveral, you will complete all the testing protocols necessary and wait for the confirmation email about your test results. Once you’ve received the green light, your adventure at sea can begin with Check-In and boarding!

As for the planned activities and special events (like Halloween on the High Seas and Pirate Night) on the Disney Fantasy, I know that some experiences are still being offered and others have had to be modified or temporarily paused. So the best way to check the schedule of events is using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard. Since the Disney Fantasy does not resume sailing until October 1st, all we have to go on is the posted information on the Experience Updates page. I wish I had a way to tell you which night of your cruise the special activities fall on, but that isn't published at this time. (We used to be able to check it online under My Reservations, but I’m not seeing it there anymore.)

So if you’d like to loop back with me as soon as the Disney Fantasy has set sail again, I’d be happy to use my sleuthing skills to see if any updated information has become available. What a difference a few days can make in this ever-changing world of cruising! But I know it can get busy before heading out on a vacation, so if we don’t get to chat again before your voyage, have a FANTASTic time!

    Happy Sailing!
