Hi! Staying at OKW and have breakfast reservations at Grand Floridian at 9:40. What is best method to get there? Also considering taking a cab.. do u know approximate cost and can party of 5 fit in a cab?

    Hi Marilyn!

No problem! You'll be able to get to your breakfast reservation without the need for at taxi.
Simply head out to the bus stop at Disney's Old Key West Resort by 8:30/8:45am and board a Disney Transportation bus to Magic Kingdom. Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom you have two options. You can walk on over to the resort boat launches near the bast of the Monorail ramps and board a boat for the pleasant and short ride to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Alternatively, you can proceed up the ramp to the Resort Monorail, riding 4 stops around the Seven Seas Lagoon to reach the Grand Floridian.

If you prefer to use a cab, you'll want to head out to the main lobby area of Old Key West by 9am and request a cab through one of the Cast Members there. Be sure to request a van capable of seating 5 passengers as most standard cabs accommodate 4. There are plenty of vans around generally for larger parties. You can expect the cab ride to take about 30 minutes and the cost will likely be around $20 including tip.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question Marilyn. I hope you'll write me back again soon!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
