We will be staying at OKW in April and we want to get Beinets at Port aorleans. What is the best way to get there without a car and what building do we go to?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Louisa!

At approximately 43 square miles, Walt Disney World is bigger than some American cities. Understandably, even seasoned explorers need directions from time to time. Let’s get you on your way and make sure you find those beignets!

First things first, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. Not only does the app allow you to make reservations and manage your tickets, but it also provides step-by-step directions to most locations around Walt Disney World using complimentary transportation. It’s a huge help for navigating the Vacation Kingdom of the World.

The famous beignets can be found at Scat Cat’s Club at Port Orleans - French Quarter’s main lobby building. The My Disney Experience app suggests that you take a complimentary bus from Old Key West Resort to Disney Springs Town Center, and then transfer to a bus headed to Port Orleans - French Quarter. The app estimates that this is about a 65-minute journey. Travel times and route options may vary depending on the date and time you’re traveling, so be sure to check the app before setting out.

If you’re looking for a more direct route, you might want to consider booking a Minnie Van through the Lyft app. It’s not free like Walt Disney World buses, but it’s likely the quickest and most direct way to travel between hotels.

I hope this information is useful, Louisa, and that you are able to easily track down those delicious beignets. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have other vacation planning questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
