Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney, where Guests like you are here to assist in making the most of your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation with tips, recommendations, and answers to all your planning needs. While staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection property comes with great perks like
Early Theme Park Entry, extended evening hours at select parks, and
complimentary resort transportation, I’m happy to share some helpful advice for your current plans!
You’ll have no problem using rideshare services like Uber to arrive and depart from the theme parks. Each of the four theme parks has designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up areas, making it convenient to get to and from the parks. You’ll want to follow the signage when leaving the park, as it will guide you to the exact location for your rideshare pickup. It’s super easy, and a lot of Guests staying offsite choose this option because of its flexibility.
While staying offsite, you can still take advantage of
Walt Disney World’s complimentary transportation to travel between the parks. Whether you want to hop on the iconic Monorail between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, take a scenic boat ride between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or catch a bus to any of the parks, the transportation options are plentiful and run regularly throughout the day. Buses begin operating early in the morning (about 45 minutes before the parks open), but buses assisting Guests with park hopping don't start until 10 AM.
One thing I always suggest to Guests staying offsite is to carve out some time to visit the Disney Resorts. Resort hopping is a fun way to explore different Disney atmospheres, especially if you’re considering staying onsite during a future trip. You can experience the elegance of
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the tropical, laid-back vibes at
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (plus it has access to the Disney Skyliner!), or check out
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, where your family might love the spacious Family Suites and Skyliner access as well.
I hope this helps with your plans, Jennifer! Have an amazing time at Walt Disney World, and if you have any more questions,
feel free to stop by again!
