If we are staying off-site and planning to just go to MK if we want to eat at the resorts or in downtown disney will there be transportation available and would we be able to get back in MK if we left? Also if we wanted to eat at Poly would we be able to?

    Hi Elizabeth,

You may certainly dine at the Disney resorts even if you are not a guest there.  For instance, if you have made a reservation at 'Ohana by calling (407) WDW-DINE, simply drive up to the welcome gate at Disney's Polynesian Resort and let the cast member there know that you have a reservation.  They will gladly give you a temporary parking pass to park there while you dine.  Or, if you are parking at the Magic Kingdom, you could simply hop on a monorail or boat from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian for your meal.

If you plan to shop and dine at Downtown Disney, simply drive your car there and you may park for free.  If you drive back to the Magic Kingdom that same day, you will not need to pay the theme park parking fee again.

Whether you leave to shop or dine elsewhere, you may return to the Magic Kingdom as many times as you want in any given day as long as the park has not reached full capacity (which typically only happens on holidays or during special events).  Just be sure to retain your park ticket when you leave the Magic Kingdom.  You will need to present it for re-entry.

I hope you have a magical day at Walt Disney World!
