Hi Hayley! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
There is nothing quite like spending the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort! You’ll find holiday décor almost everywhere you go.
Disney Springs is decorated beautifully for this time of year and has its own experiences to help celebrate. The annual Christmas Tree Stroll was brought back last year in a modified version and gave Guests the opportunity to hunt down Disney-themed Christmas trees. My family loves a good scavenger hunt, so this fits in perfectly with our plans!
While you are visiting Disney Springs, there will be bus or boat transportation to take you to various Disney Resorts. To get to
Disney’s Boardwalk, your best option will be to hop on the bus to
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. This will take you to the outside of the resort and you can walk down the staircase to the Boardwalk. If you happen to be waiting a while for that bus, you can also take one to Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club Resorts. You are just a short walk over to Disney’s Boardwalk from there. You will not need theme park tickets in order to ride on
Disney’s transportation system.
Since you will be over by Disney’s Boardwalk, I recommend touring one of the three resorts that are in the area. Each one is themed perfectly, and they have wonderful dining locations to grab lunch or dinner. The
Disney Skyliner station is just a few steps away and you can take it to Disney’s Riviera Resort as well as various others. If you are in the mood for dessert, stop at
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and check out
Banana Cabana over by the main pool area. They offer the most delicious dessert at Walt Disney World, the Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding. This is a must-try if you are in the area!
Hayley, whether you plan to hop around the resorts or just spend some time at Disney’s Boardwalk, I hope you have an amazing visit!
See ya real soon!
