we are staying off-site. however my in laws who live in FL want to meet us for dinner one night in DTD is it possible to park in DTD go to a parks using the disney transportation so our vehicle will be right there when we are done with dinner?

    Jennifer:

The bus transportation at Downtown Disney does not go to the parks, it only goes to Disney resorts.

I think you'll find that it is considerably faster for you to park your car in a theme park's parking lot, enjoy that park, and then take your car to Downtown Disney. I am very positive about most of my experiences with Disney, but bus transportation to and from Downtown Disney to specific resorts has been spotty in my experience over the years.

You could "beat the system" by parking at DTD and then walking to Saratoga Springs resort to use their bus system or simply take the bus from DTD to one of the Magic Kingdom resorts then hop on the monorail to the park. However, you'll spend more time waiting on the bus and walking around those resorts than if you simply paid to park and went directly in.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
