We are staying at an off-site hotel for the first time. We are planning to park hop but will also be driving in and parking during the day. What is the easiest way to park hop and still get back to our car at the end of the night?

    Hi Valerie!

Having theme park tickets to Walt Disney World Resort with the Park Hopper Option gives you extraordinary flexibility during your vacation. Want to start the day riding a banshee at Pandora - The World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom and end that same day by enjoying Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot? No problem. As long as you have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, you can visit any or all four theme parks in the same day. Sounds pretty exciting!

Since you mentioned you will have a car at your disposal, I would recommend that you drive between theme parks. Once you pay the daily parking fee at one of the theme parks, keep your receipt. If you show that receipt at the entrance to the parking lots at any of the other three theme parks that same day, they will not charge you to park there. Thus, driving would be the most efficient way to move from theme park to theme park.

The one exception may be splitting your day between Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot. Personally, I would start my day at Epcot during Morning Extra Magic Hours. Then I'd leave my car in the parking lot at Epcot as I hop on the monorail over to the Ticket and Transportation Center. Transfer to a Magic Kingdom Park-bound monorail there. When you are done exploring the attractions at Magic Kingdom Park, you can use the monorail system to return to Epcot to reclaim your car. (Guests at Epcot can park much closer to the entry gates there than can Guests parking in the lot across Seven Seas Lagoon from Magic Kingdom Park.)

If you'd like suggestions for how to hop efficiently from park to park, just let us know. My friends and I here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel would be delighted to help you map out your daysl

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
