We will be staying at an offsite hotel. Where in Disney do the hotel shuttles drop off and pick up. Is it easy to get to all the parks from here? Also, what do you do with your backpacks of snacks when you go on the rides?

    Hi Sophie!

I'll handle the easy question first!  I always take a medium sized backpack into the theme parks at Walt Disney World and I never have a problem with it.  I take it on every ride and into every show.  Disney will allow you to do that, including the thrill rides.  On some attractions, you just put it on the floor or the seat next to you.  On others, you store in a net in front of you or under your seat.  For some, like Space Mountain and Rock 'n' Roller Coasting Staring Aerosmith, you just put it on the floor and put your leg through one of the straps!  I use my backpack to hold snacks, drinks, and my camera and have never had a problem!  That said, if you want to put it in a locker, there are lockers at all of the theme parks.  However, the lockers are in a central location and you won't find lockers by each ride, etc.

The harder question is where your offsite shuttle bus will drop you off.  There are drop off locations at the various theme parks for offsite shuttles.  Generally speaking, those locations are farther away than the locations for Disney buses going to onsite hotels.  Some offsite shuttle buses also just drop their guests off at the Transportation and Ticket Center instead of a theme park; in that case, you would then have to take Disney transportation to where you are trying to go to.  It really depends on the offsite shuttle arrangement.  I suggest contacting your hotel to learn more about the shuttle buses.  I suggest asking questions like where are the pick up and drop off points and how often they run.  It's been my opinion, that offsite shuttles do not run very often in general.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
