    We are staying offsite the first 3 nights of our trip, then BWV for 4 nights. Purchased 7day PH with MYW, but how do the first 3 nights work? I know we'll have Magic Bands for the resort nights, can I pick up the other tix at DTD? TY!

    Hi Amy,

    MagicBands are part of the MyMagic+ initiative. They are still in the testing phase, so anything that I write here is subject to change. Since your case is unique, I suggest that you call Disney to ask your question. This way you can speak with a cast member and explain the exact details of your situation. You can call Disney with your Magic Band questions at (407) 939-7849. If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800. When I have called Member Services recently, there has been an option for Magic Band questions.

    Here are, from my personal experience and after asking some fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists, my thoughts on your situation. It sounds to me like you have already been chosen for MagicBand testing. If that is the case, you can use the My Disney Experience website to link your theme park tickets to your account. If you have the physical theme park tickets, you can use the information on the tickets to do this. If you purchased them through Disney Vacation Club, you can use the confirmation number you received to link the tickets. Your MagicBands should arrive to you in the mail before your trip. For your first few days of your trip when you are not staying at a Walt Disney World resort, I believe that the MagicBands should work as your theme park admission media since you will have linked the tickets. Since Disney is currently testing the other feature of the MagicBands only with guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort, my guess it theme park admission is all you will be able to use them for when you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. This is subject to change as the testing evolves.
