Hi Diana! Welcome to planDisney!
Dining at the
Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things to do on vacation. There are countless options to choose from and different types of cuisine all over the Resort. One of my family’s go-to places to eat breakfast is
Kona Café located at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. They have two unique options on the menu, including the Macadamia Nut Pancakes and the Tonga Toast. My family is team pancakes because you cannot beat the deliciousness of the macadamia nut butter that comes with the dish. One restaurant that I am excited about trying is the newly opened
Space 220 Restaurant located in
EPCOT. It’s an out-of-this-world experience that has you completely immersed in the atmosphere.
To get a reservation at these or any table service restaurant at Walt Disney World, you will need to make
Advanced Dining Reservations up to 60 days in advance. If you were staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your entire stay, you would be able to book all your reservations starting from the first day for your entire length of stay. But since you are staying at an offsite location for the first part of your trip, you will not be able to do so. You’ll need to make Advanced Dining Reservations each day you are offsite at the 60-day mark. Once your 60-day window starts for the portion of the trip you are staying onsite, you will then be able to book the remainder of your reservations for the rest of the stay. This perk is tied directly to your Resort reservation and not to the theme park ticket package you have.
If you are interested in making a reservation for any of the “hard-to-get” places, such as
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera or
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, I have a tip that may help. If your schedule allows, try to make these reservations toward the end of your stay. Since the second half of your trip is at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, take advantage of the perk you have to make these reservations more than 60 days out. You will have a leg up on other Guests who must wait until that 60-day mark.
Diana, I hope this information helps you get every reservation you want.
Happy planning!
Greg
