I will be staying off-site for 5 days prior to going to our resort POP Century July15th 2015. My question is if I have tickets linked to my magic bands can I use them during the time I am staying off-site or do I have to wait until I check in to use them?

Hi there, Durenda! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You've got your tickets, your resort hotel reservations are squared away, your MagicBands are on the way...that means your Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it! And I have even more good news for you. As long as you have valid Theme Park tickets linked to your MagicBands, you don't have to be staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to use them. Go ahead and hit the parks as soon as your vacation begins. No need to wait until you've checked in to Disney's Pop Century Resort to start your adventure!

I hope this helps you make the most of your time at Walt Disney World, Durenda. Please stop by again if you have any more questions. Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
