Hi! We are staying offsite and are considering getting Memory Maker but have questions on how that works. Do we get card tickets if we are staying off site, or do we just use our phones? And do we just scan our tickets for photos? What about on rides? Thx!

Hey Howdy Hey Rachel and welcome back to planDisney!

Memory Maker is such a great addition for vacations to Walt Disney World Resort. Having the ability for everyone in your party to get in the pictures is an incredible way to remember your special trip. Thank you so much for your question on the specifics of Memory Maker for Guests staying offsite. Let's break down some of the details and get you some answers!

When you purchase Memory Maker, you have several ways you can access your account while in the parks. Two of the easier ways to access your account are through MagicBand+ or your Disney MagicMobile Service. MagicBand+ can be purchased when you get onsite at many locations in each park or Disney Springs and link them to your My Disney Experience account. Disney MagicMobile Service is a free service you can set up through your My Disney Experience app and will give you access to your My Disney Experience account information such as access to your park tickets, Memory Maker as well as purchasing power right from your smart device! If you set up a MagicMobile pass, after you take your pictures you will tap your phone to the device the PhotoPass Photographers have and then will instantly be connected to your account.

You also have the option to pick up physical cards as your tickets to the parks. These will also be linked to your My Disney Experience account and will have access to Memory Maker. The final option is talking with the PhotoPass team about getting a physical card from them. If all else fails with the above-listed options, most PhotoPass Photographers will have cards that they can scan to link your pictures to and then you can link to your account to get your pictures as well. So many options!

Now Rachel, when you purchase Memory Maker, not only are you getting some really cool shots throughout the parks with the icons of the parks themselves with everyone in the pictures, but you get so much more! Make sure that you talk to the photographers about Magic Shots. There are several locations for Tiny World Magic Shots and Super Zoom Magic Shots. My favorites are always the Classic & Animated Magic Shots. These your photographer can set your party up with specific poses and then have characters Magically appear in your pictures online. They all are super fun ways to remember your vacation with pictures you won't be able to get anywhere else!

Best of luck as you are making preparations for your upcoming trip! Please stop back and let u know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
