Staying offsite in April - reading fastpass and dining book up fast - since we're offsite, will we be able to get fastpasses and dining during spring break? Worried we'll only do a few things per day and the trip will be a waste.

Hiya, Tracy! Thank you for your question.

Even if you are not a Walt Disney World resort guest, you will still have the option to book FastPass+ attraction selections and make dining reservations. Let's see if we can get a plan in place that will help your family have a Tiggerific time on your upcoming vacation.

My first recommendation is going to be to book your FastPass+ selections as soon as your 30 day window opens up. This will give you at least three attractions with shorter wait times each day, which really does help your whole day. You can also still make dining reservations 180 days in advance of your vacation, although as a non-resort guest, you can only make them one day at a time. This means you'll either have to get online or call 407-939-3463 each morning to snag the reservations you want.

When planning which park to go to on which days, try to avoid the parks that have morning Extra Magic Hours, which you can check on the theme park calendar. On those mornings, the park will have already been open to Walt Disney World resort guests for about an hour before other guests can enter, putting you a bit behind. Head to a different park, and try to get there at "rope drop" (which is park opening). I find the early bird really catches the worm. I can usually get at least a few things accomplished before lunch if I go early, then I have my FastPass+ attractions to look forward to later in the day.

It's never a waste to visit Walt Disney World! I hope you'll have an absolutely magical time.
