We are staying offsite and have a 7:15 am ADR at Chef Mickey’s. We are also planning on going to MK afterwards. Will monorail be running this early. If not, what’s the best way to get to Chef Mickey’s?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hector! Chef Mickey’s is such a fun way to begin your morning! I’ll give you some directions as you make your way to munch with the Mouse!

The monorail only begins running 30 minutes before the parks open so depending on which day your breakfast is, you’ll need to check the parks and hours calendars for official times. If parking in the Magic Kingdom parking lots and transferring monorails will not work that morning, you can always drive to the Resort and park for a complimentary 3 hours while you dine. Please have your dining reservation number ready to give the parking guard. You can then bring your car back to the Magic Kingdom parking lot (use Waze to get around!) and ride the monorail or the large watercraft to the front entrance of Magic Kingdom. Alternatively, you can also hire an UBER or two to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and then make the five minute walk to Magic Kingdom once your meal is concluded. UBER has an UBERFamily option with optional car seats for use if you have children that need them and can drop you right at the Contemporary that morning.

If I can help you plan other vacation items, please let me know. I have some great ideas for free kids activities and wonderful seasonal magic. I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
