Hi, we’re staying off site when we visit again and was wondering if we would be able to still attend the chip n dale campfire if we’re not staying in a Disney hotel? Thanks in advance :)

Hey, howdy, hey, Charlie, and welcome to planDisney. Your trip across the pond in October is just in time to capture the last days of the fall festivities at Walt Disney World Resort. Please make time to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade is my favorite. However, let's chat about our woodland friends and their campfire.

All Walt Disney World Resort Guests, regardless of where they sleep, are invited to visit and participate in Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at the Campsites of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. There is no need for a reservation. The smell of s'mores and other treats roasting over the campfire is the perfect way to end an evening. We like to bring cheese and caramel-flavored popcorn from the Main Street Confectionary (also sold at most merchandise locations) to enjoy around the campfire and if you do not bring your own then the Chuckwagon Snack Bar has you covered.

Getting to Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long requires some planning.

    1. The fastest route is by taxi/Lyft/Uber or Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft which will drop you at the Meadow Bus Depot or Bus Stop 600/800 without any transfers.
    2. Guests with cars need to park at the Outpost Bus Depot and hop on an internal bus to the Meadow Bus Depot or Bus Stop 600/800.
    3. Guests staying at another Disney Resort hotel will need to get to a theme park or Disney Springs and transfer to a bus or water launch.
    4. Traveling from Magic Kingdom Park, take the water launch to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Settlement Bus Depot then transfer to an internal bus to the Meadow Bus Depot or Bus Stop 600/800 near the campfire.
    5. Guests traveling from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park/EPCOT/Disney's Hollywood Studios should take a bus to the Outpost Bus Depot and then an internal bus to the Meadow Bus Depot or Bus Stop 600/800 near the campfire.
planDisney Pro Tip: Always leave about 90 minutes of time when traveling between Disney Resort destinations. Sometimes you need to transfer and transportation is slowest mid-day and most frequent in the morning and at park closure.

Charlie, I am happy to help you with more planning tips for your upcoming Disney trip, just ask.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
