Welcome (back) to planDisney, Jahaira!
Oh, the joy of that first theme park day at Walt Disney World Resort. Whether it’s the sight of
Cinderella Castle rising in the distance or the excitement of hearing the first notes of park music as you approach, the anticipation builds in the best way possible. I bet your anticipation is through the roof!
When you’re staying off-site and using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, drop-off and pick-up locations are available at each theme park entrance. For
Magic Kingdom Park, however, it’s a bit unique. All rideshare services will drop off and pick up at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). From there, you’ll hop aboard the ferryboat or monorail to reach the gates of Magic Kingdom Park. So factor in that extra travel time. For EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, rideshare drop-off points are conveniently located near the main entrances.
Here’s a helpful tip: when using a rideshare service to leave the parks, especially after nighttime shows like
Happily Ever After or
Fantasmic!, wait times and surge pricing can spike. To avoid the crowds and higher costs, consider hanging back for a bit—grab a snack, do some late-night shopping on Main Street, U.S.A., or enjoy the ambiance as the park winds down. It’s a relaxing way to end your day and can make getting a ride much smoother!
I hope that's helpful, Jahaira!
