We are staying off site and purchasing our tickets separately. After we each order genie plus for the day how do we make sure we get the same time slot? I know we have to buy day of since we’re not staying on property. The whole thing is confusing thanks

Hiya Lori - welcome back to planDisney!

I'm so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation - it's going to be a truly magical experience! You're visiting during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration and will get to experience all-new attractions, entertainment, treats, and so much more!

The Disney Genie+ service is a magical new way for you to maximize your time in the parks for a small fee each day. Genie+ allows you to make reservations at many attractions to experience shorter waits in the Lightning Lane queue! As long as everyone in your party has a valid Theme Park Ticket and accompanying Park Pass Reservation, and is linked as Friends & Family in My Disney Experience, you will all be able to obtain the same return time for available Genie+ Lightning Lane selections. Starting at 7 a.m., you are able to select which Guests you want to include on an available Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation. It's great that not everyone has to choose the same attractions - if someone wants to branch out on their own they can, or you can stay as one larger group if you'd like!

Some of the newest and most popular attractions are not included with Genie+, but you can purchase Individual Lightning Lane access for these attractions, including, for example, Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, or other participating hotels, you will be able to make your two paid Individual Lightning Lane reservations once the park opens.

Almost all attractions also have a standby queue that can be used by all Guests. Estimated wait times are available right in your pocket via the My Disney Experience Mobile App, are posted at attraction entrances, and are also shown on digital signs throughout the parks. It's important to keep in mind that you may still have short waits in the Lightning Lane queues at some attractions, but in my experience, it was always much shorter than the posted wait time for the standby queues!

I hope this information is helpful! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you continue planning.
