Hey there Shirley!
I totally get your concern, especially when you’re staying offsite. But I’ve actually had a pretty positive experience with the new system, even with that three-day lead time.
Lightning Lane Multipass lets you reserve several attractions in advance, which is super handy for cutting down on wait times. You can grab spots for popular rides like
Space Mountain or even experience some characters. While it’s true that onsite guests get first dibs, I’ve found that there is plenty of availability for offsite guests as well. So, if you’re flexible with your return times, you can still snag some great return times for attractions or entertainment options that you’re hoping to experience.
Lightning Lane Single Pass: is for those super popular rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or
TRON Lightcycle / Run. You pay per attraction, and even being offsite, I’ve seen plenty of availability for these attractions.
A Few Tips:
Stay flexible: You might not always land the exact time you want, but there’s usually a good variety of times available if you’re willing to adjust a bit.
Keep checking: Availability can change quickly, so it’s worth checking back often. I’ve managed to grab some last-minute spots for popular rides this way!
Overall, I really think this system is a lifesaver for navigating the parks, especially in a busy spot like Magic Kingdom. Lightning Lane Multipass has made it a lot easier to enjoy more attractions without those long waits. Now, with all that being said, it’s important to note that if you plan to visit during a very busy time of year such as Thanksgiving or Easter break, that availability will fluctuate based on how busy the Theme Parks are.
I hope that you have an amazing trip and are able to enjoy every moment in the parks!
