If we are staying off site can we get our Magic bands early to do our fastpass before we leave on vacation? and where? Thank you

    Hi Donna,

MagicBands and making FastPass+ selections are actually two unrelated topics. You do not need to have MagicBands to make FP+ selections. Let me explain...

To make a FastPass+ selection, you need to purchase a valid park admission ticket and register that ticket to your My Disney Experience account. You can purchase the ticket online or over the phone through Disney directly, or through a number of outside vendors. To register your ticket, logon to (Create an account if you don't already have one.) Then go to the "My Disney Experience" tab and then scroll down to "My Reservations and Tickets" in the "Plan and Manage" section. Under "Tickets and Passes," click "Link Tickets" and follow the instructions from there.

Once you've linked your tickets, you can make FastPass+ selections (up to 30 days in advance for off-site guests). You can access your FastPass+in the parks with a regular park ticket (which you already have) or with a MagicBand.

Off site guests cannot obtain MagicBands in advance. They are for sale in many locations on Walt Disney World property. You can buy a MagicBand at the parks (currently $12.95 plus tax for the basic model) and they'll link it your account at the time of purchase. Once you have a band, you can use that to access your FP+ in addition to using your park ticket, but as you can see, having a MagicBand is not a necessary part of the FP+ process.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
