We are staying off site and are excited to book character dining experiences. If I'm staying off site, can I book a dining reservations at a hotel (Polynesian for instance)? What would the cost be to park if you have a dining reservation?

Hello Michelle, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to see a fellow Buckeye planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I have to tell you that some of my favorite memories have been made during Character Dining Experiences. I love Character Dining for a few reasons. First, can we talk about food? Chef Mickey’s, at Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel, happens to be one of my favorite resort dining experiences and let me tell you, the offerings are scrumptious. Second, the characters! I have found when I travel with the younger members of my family, they tend to get a bit restless waiting to meet their favorite characters. However, with Character Dining, there is no need to stand in line. The characters come to you. Cast Members make sure that you have seen all of them during your meal. Make sure to have your autograph books handy and your cameras ready because they are ready to meet you. Please note that character experiences are subject to change. I suggest checking with a Cast Member at your reservation if you have any questions.

I am glad to tell you that any guest with a dining reservation at a Disney Resort Hotel will receive complimentary parking at the resort to enjoy their dining experience. You will need to provide confirmation of your dining reservation when you arrive at the resort to the Cast Member at the gate. Keep in mind If you plan to valet park your vehicle a fee will apply. Parking at the resort is only for the duration of your dining or shopping experience. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
