While staying "off site" and going to downtown Disney to purchase a Magic Band; is the band itself your ticket, do you have to purchase the band and a ticket, and is there an extra cost for the bands vs tickets?

    Hi Ashley -

Park tickets are the same price whether or not you have a MagicBand. If you are staying offsite, you won't get a complimentary band, but can choose to buy one at Walt Disney World gift shops. They currently sell for $12.95 plus tax (prices are subject to change). A cast member can help you get the MagicBands set up with all of your current information - the band itself isn't a ticket until it is linked to a valid ticket.

I hope that helps! Have a great vacation!
