We are staying off site for our Disney Vacation, we have already received our card passes. I was told that I could switch our cards to magic bands now, is this true? If so, how can I get them switched prior to our trip?

    Hey Paige-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Great question about MagicBands which in my opinion are the best functional souvenir ever at Walt Disney World Resort. You do not need stay on property or wait to buy one when you arrive.  MagicBands maybe purchased online from the Disney Store. These will need to be linked to your My Disney Experience account to utilize FastPass+ touchpoints in the theme parks.

Disney Dad Tip: There are so many designs, collections and colors that MagicBands have become fantastic wearable souvenirs. A search on will show ways to decorate the MagicBand with nail polish and other materials to make it extra-special. For example, you could take a blue MagicBand, white nail polish and draw snowflakes on it like Queen Elsa or an orange MagicBand with black nail polish to paint stripes to look like Tigger. There are also MagicBandits charms and MagicSliders that are so cool.

Paige, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
